TiZir Limited is a vertically integrated zircon and titanium business which owns the Grande Côte mineral sands mine in Senegal and the TiZir Titanium and Iron ilmenite upgrading facility in Norway. The company is jointly owned 50/50 by Mineral Deposits Limited of Australia and ERAMET of France.
The Grande Côte mineral sands operation (GCO) in Senegal is the largest single dredge mineral sands operation in the world with an expected mine life of at least 25 year. GCO will primarily produce high-quality zircon and ilmenite as well as small amounts of rutile and leucoxene.
